Unfortunately, some people find ugliness to be beautiful.  These spiritually impoverished souls  seek out the hideous, the repulsive, the loathsome, the offensive, the foul, the horrid, the revolting,  the repellent, the grisly, the disgusting, the grotesque, and the uncouth.

Beautiful People

Doctors, public health officials, and the March of Dimes have their hands full trying to prevent the misshapen deformities of birth defects and repair the maiming disfigurement of war.  Despite this, spiritually impoverished souls persist in drilling holes in their bodies, putting graffiti on walls, buildings, trains, buses, and even on their bodies in the form of tattoos.  Our bodies are supposed to be temples of God.  The Hebrews have the right idea: they simply ban tattoos.

However, we cannot point the finger of shame if we ourselves go out looking a mess, not fit to be seen.  Curlers are to prepare a woman to be seen.  They are not meant to be worn in public.  Likewise, a man may exercise alone at home with his shirt off but in public he should have on a clean (not stained) shirt and have his hair neatly combed.  He should put on a coat and tie to eat at home and at restaurants.  The law backs up restaurants that require men to wear a coat and tie because of reasons of health, business, and prestige.

Wanting to be around beautiful people is healthy.  However, inner beauty is more important than outer beauty.  A monstrous-looking man who is a charming host and a hag who can smile are infinitely preferable to a woman who is pretty poison or a handsome hothead.  The story of Beauty and The Beast teaches this.  The problem with the lesson is that spiritually impoverished souls distort that message to say outer beauty is bad.  Choosing between inner and outer beauty is a false choice. It is not a choice we have to make.  We should seek both.

'Fernando' had a point: "It is better to look good than to feel good."  Why?  Think of all the spiritually impoverished souls who go to Doctor Feelgood or the nearest drug pusher.  Stop worrying about feeling good.  Remember that sublime hag.  Smile and not only will you feel good as a byproduct, but the people you smile at will feel good and even observers and visitors to your town will feel good also and say: "My, what beautiful friendly people."

The way the world works is that smart people seek out rich people and rich people seek out beautiful people.  Make yourself beautiful inside and beautiful outside and the world will throw itself at your feet.   You will one day find yourself wealthy (if you're not already) and smart people will work to make sure you stay wealthy.

How do you make yourself beautiful (in the case of men, handsome) inside and outside?

1. Smile.

2. We live in an age when cosmetic pharmaceuticals, plastic surgery, beauty parlors, and men's  stylists are available to all who need them.

3. Exercise off the fat if you are fat.  If you aren't fat, exercise anyway.

4. Eliminate junk food, sugar, and carbohydrates from your diet.  You are what you eat.  Your body needs protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals.  It does not need junk.

5. Eat less if you are fat.

6. Get your beauty sleep.  This includes men.

7. Moles are not beauty marks.  They are viral crèches  for metastasizing cancer.  Have them all removed by a doctor.

8. Drink as much unpolluted water as possible.  Most people are dehydrated

9. Donate money for regeneration research.  Regeneration research aims to re-grow lost body parts.  If we do not support this research, the human race will become extinct.  Our bodies, in the image and likeness of God, will be replaced piece by piece by ungodly machines.  Already, mechanical parts are common.

10. Educate others about replantation.  Replantation is simply reattaching severed body parts.  First responders (the first Good Samaritan on the scene) should put the severed part or parts on ice and ship in the same ambulance as the victim.  Know where the nearest microsurgery or replant qualified trauma center is in your region.  The person you educate may save you.

11. Be elegant and charming.  It takes people's attention off your imperfections.

12. Wear beautiful dresses if you are a woman and handsome suits if you are a man.

13. Consider yourself one of the beautiful people.

14. Do beautiful things: Perform random acts of kindness.

15. You might buy clothes modeled by a fashion model but don't model your life after models, actors, nor athletes.  These people have a permanent identity crisis.  They are always trying to "find themselves" through drugs, homosexuality, bar brawls, gambling, fast cars, and other self-destruction.  You already have what they will never find.

It is not enough to be beautiful and to be around beautiful people.  You should seek to eliminate ugliness entirely from your life.

Beautiful Places

Improve your home so that you have a beautiful home and garden.

Support the beautification program in your town.  Plant trees and flowers.  Don't drop litter and report those who litter to the authorities.  Every car should have a litter bag by law.  If your municipality does not have an anti-littering ordinance that requires litter bags in vehicles, then get one passed.

Get art appreciation in primary schools, art classes back in secondary schools, and aesthetics courses in universities.

Choose sports that are beautiful like sailing (instead of noisy powerboats & jet skis), horse riding (instead of noisy dirt bikes & off-road vehicles), snow skiing (instead of noisy snowmobiles and sno-cats), and sail plane flying (instead of noisy helicopters & ultra lights).  Cars have mufflers so it is perfectly reasonable to legislate our way toward noise abatement in the air, water, snow, and off-road.  Since there are idiots who want to make themselves and everybody else deaf, quiet people with class (the silent majority) can simply file class action lawsuits and muzzle the offending industries.

Work someplace that is beautiful.  If you work in an ugly factory or a dangerous mine, you need to quit and work someplace beautiful like a farm or a corporate office park.

Before you pick a college, visit the five with the most beautiful campuses and pick the most beautiful since you will be there for four years.

Vacation at beautiful resorts and beautiful spas.

There are hospitals and there are clinics.  If you have to be admitted, pick the most beautiful place.

Ugly architecture is everywhere.  Ugly architecture is always modern.  Old buildings, just by surviving, have the approbation of time.  New buildings are often crass, particularly commercial vernacular architecture.  The ugliest architecture needs to be demolished to make room for either beautiful buildings or greenbelts.

Make your town the most beautiful town on Earth.  Anything less is unworthy of you, your family, your friends, and your neighbors.

The above paragraphs advise you to become one of the Beautiful People and to make your town a Beautiful Place but there is more to a beautiful life.

Beautiful Things

Don't drive an ugly polluting vehicle.  Despite the propaganda coming from Detroit, there are electric vehicles that are fast, long-range, and stylish.  Only the big monopolies make electric vehicles that look like miniature golf carts.  There are electric Lamborghinis and electric Rolls-Royces.  You have to go to the factory because local dealers are unaware of them.

Write postal letters.  Unless you enjoy getting ugly email.

Collect beautiful books.  Great literature and books full of beautiful photographs.

Clean the house.  Open the windows and air it out on warm days.  Bring in houseplants and vases of fresh flowers on cold days.  Change the filters in your heating and cooling system.  Don't overdo the use of potpourri and commercial scents or you may not be aware of underlying odors until health damage has resulted.

Go for a walk in a beautiful park.

Do tai chi.

Meditate.

Pray.

Have nice things.  You don't need to be rich to have nice things.

Ugly art and ugly music is everywhere.  Most of it needs to be tossed into the trash to make room for beautiful art and beautiful music.

Beautiful Organization

A beautiful world doesn't just happen by magic (oh, that it did!); it has to be created.  The first step is getting organized in your personal life.  The second step is getting organized with other people in your town.  The third step is coordinating all the regional organizations nationally.  The obvious fourth step is international organization.

Green business is the future of business.  Commercial ugliness is a warning sign.  Noise, air, and water pollution threaten to literally kill future generations, our unborn, our children, ourselves, and our parents.  As a life or death matter, we should feel zero guilt in bankrupting polluting companies. We want a beautiful world.

Green government is the future of government.  Governments start wars that destroy the landscape.  Governments that stockpile poison and pox are themselves poisonous and a pox on all our houses.  Governments and terrorists seek fissionable material in order to destroy on wide scale.  So we should feel no guilt in getting life sentences or the death penalty for the administrators of polluting government agencies or for terrorists.  We want a beautiful world.

It is nonsense to have politics based on liberalism and conservatism.  Endless rhetoric over who's right and who will get left behind.  A better scheme of politics is based on beauty, moderation, gentle cynicism, and reasonableness.

Have less children.  The world lets orphans starve to death every day.  A clear sign that the planet is overpopulated.  It is nonsense for people to claim that they love babies when there is even one baby dying somewhere out of sight, out of mind.  When overpopulation happens, a scientific phenomenon called behavioral sink happens.  Murder, neglect of children, garbage piling up, famine, disease, and every ill one can imagine.  At what age does a child of God stop being cute?  When they are born?  When they are a newborn?  When they are two years old?  When they are twelve?  When they are twenty two?  When they are forty two?  When they are one hundred and two?  In the eyes of God, we are all children, so why do we bring people into the world and callously, even deliberately, not bother to make a place for them?  If you don't believe human beings are tossed into the trash, then you have never heard the news stories of babies found in dumpsters.  Or Third World countries where children and adults) pick through garbage dumps.   You probably have never been to the skid row in your own city.  You probably are unaware of the people who find shelter in the sewers and subways underground.  Or those who sleep under bridges.  Stop having children!  Take care of those who are already here!  The New Testament says that you are your brother's keeper.

Anti-pollution is too important to be abandoned to the back & forth swing of the political pendulum.  Poison kills everybody.  It does not discriminate as to whether one is liberal or conservative.  Nuclear and chemical pollution causes cancer.  Biological pollution causes sundry other diseases.  However, we need to bring more intelligence to the matter than those who have gone before us.  For instance, we need to draw a distinction between fission and fusion.  Nuclear fission cannot be made safe because it generates radiological waste.  Nuclear fusion may be safer (if we can ever make it workable).  Coal and oil are dirty and those industries need to be wiped out of existence.

Overpopulation will not be solved overnight.  Government (including the UN) needs to be removed from the business of space exploration and space colonization.  ALL national governments need to be removed from the business of space exploration and space colonization.   Left up to government, humans will never get into space and relieve the pressure of overpopulation.  Left up to government, first contact with any extraterrestrials will result in interstellar war in which we will lose.  Any history book is proof that governments start wars.  Left up to government, Earth could be struck by an asteroid or comet (like Jupiter was recently) and the human race would be wiped out of existence.  Left up to government, the sun could go nova and we would not be able to escape.  Left up to government, there will be no frontier and no freedom.   History is proof that governments do not care about the freedom of the people they supposedly serve.  In fact, governments think WE are supposed to serve THEM!

The best vision of the Earth is restoring it to pristine condition just like we might restore a beautiful old mansion to its former glory.  Like a house, a key matter to address is the condition of the roof.   A leaky roof means everything inside rots.  Likewise, instead of skyrocketing rates of skin cancer, we need to restore the ozone layer.  We need to clean up the oceans because the diatoms on the surface supply the oxygen we breathe.  Dead diatoms, like dead rain forests, produce no oxygen.   And instead of eating up land in suburban sprawl, we need to build underground, saving the surface for parks and farms.  It would help if we reversed the trend and started plowing up a few highways and tacky Levittowns.

Befriend beautiful people and protect beautiful places like national parks and national forests.

Ridicule ugliness and isolate the purveyors of ugliness.  These spiritually impoverished souls need the attention of pastors, psychiatrists, and police.

Beautiful News

Turn off the television.  With the occasional exception of non-commercial public television, broadcast, cable and satellite is an unrelieved wasteland of ugliness.  When the television is on, it robs families of their dinner time and asking about each others' day.  It destroys the family both directly and indirectly by destroying family time together and by showing images of broken families.  In an era of deviant perversions, some people don't even remember that a family is supposed to be a biological father and a biological mother happily married to each other for life in a loving home with children and, sometimes, grandparents and other relatives.  Instead, people accept divorce, make fun of multigenerational households (which used to be the norm), put old people in nursing homes, and make no attempt to seek family counseling nor marriage counseling when it is needed.

Turn off talk radio and shock jock DJ's.  If you have to have radio on, find a classical music FM station.

There are two kinds of local newspapers: the kind with the editorial slant that the world is full of accidents, crimes, and disasters and the kind with the editorial slant that "there is nothing happening nor is there any danger that something will happen."  For the record, the world IS full of accidents, crimes, and disasters.  However, doing nothing about them but scaring people with headlines is no solution.  The solution is pressuring insurance companies to force industry and government to accept safety engineering and survival preparedness.

The individual citizen's part is to make citizen's arrests, participate in neighborhood crime watch programs, and to scare juveniles straight so that they do not go to prison.  Prisons teach homosexuality and advanced criminal skills.  Everyone knows this, but judges have to be pressured to do alternative sentencing for nonviolent criminals such as: community service, house arrest, electronic ankle monitors, repaying victims. public apology, public humiliation, wearing signs that have photos of their crimes, allowing criminals to choose execution, garnishment of the property of criminals (usually stolen anyway), rehab, etc.  Prisons should be reserved for violent criminals like murderers.

The kind of newspaper worth reading, sad to say, is the kind that takes the editorial slant that "nothing is happening nor is there any danger that something will happen."  The Big Media lies. The Big Media prints exactly what the White House tells them to print.  The Big Media is full of reporters who make up stories whole cloth.  The Big Media is part of the mind control that is destroying freedom.  The Big Media is full of ugliness, evil, and lies.  At least with "nothing is happening" local newspapers, you can read about nice things in your community.

Don't read supermarket tabloids.  They are almost as bad as The New York Times.  Pulitzer Prizes have been given to plagiarists and reporters making up stories.

Plagiarism is rampant at colleges among publish-or-perish professors and functionally illiterate students who cannot think and who do not belong in college.  They do not understand ethics any more than crooked politicians, crooked cops, crooked preachers, or crooked used car salesmen.

Except for US News & World Report, most newsmagazines have nothing approaching reputable journalism.

Cancel your subscription to ugly newspapers and ugly magazines.  Subscribe to a beautiful magazine--for beauty not for news.  Get your news from newsletters containing no advertisements nor political slant and from non-commercial news services not beholden to secret government manipulation.

Only visit beautiful websites.  Life is too short to visit ugly websites.
