- the Sixteenth Century South (the 1500's)
- the 17th and 18th centuries in The South*
- early Twentieth Century -- please raid your attics and basements for journals, letters, diaries, photos, scrapbooks, memorabilia,
documents, and other first-hand accounts (Asian-American Southerners and Native Americans of the Southeast please take note:
we especially want your contributions for this historic period from 1900 to circa 19500
- the future of the South (Your speculations as to what The South will look like in the 22nd Century and the 23rd Century.
Underwater due to global warming? cvered with glaciers in a new ice age? all humans dead due to WWIII, pandemic,
toxic buildup, AI terminators, an asteroid slamming into Earth? overpopulated? no more Appalachian mountains
because the coal companies went hog wild and strip mined them down to sea level? no more trees? all Southern species
of plants and animals extinct? wall-to-wall suburbia? the klan killed everybody? taxes above 100%?
the South in the middle of the Third Great Depression or the Fourth Great Depression?)
